I started writing when living in Athens, with my husband and two children, on long term leave from my day job as a civil servant. Now back working part-time, I am trying to keep it up in some way. Grains of Sand is a blog where I am experimenting with writing poems and reflections about life, the universe and everything. It is particularly about the small moments and decisions that are key to what I see as the important things. The name comes from the William Blake quotation I have always loved.
“To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the Palm of your Hand, And Eternity in an Hour.” Auguries of Innocence.
